Live With No Regrets

How to live without regrets:

1. Realize that it is ok to make mistakes.

2. Follow the path you want to follow.

3. Laugh every day.

4. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

5. Be bold (not reckless).

6. Love what you do.

7. Treat people with respect.

8. Never hold grudges.

9. Be yourself.

10. Keep moving forward.

What is Enough?

Where is the balance in life? Some people have issues with only engaging in one activity. The key is to decide how much is too much of a "good thing". If too much of one thing is done, other parts of life are lacking. If this happens, people are kept from exploring different life options. For example, if a young child is involved in hours and hours of video games each day, then they miss out on hours of communication with actual people, which in turn, damper their verbal skills.

So, engage in many activities to be a well-rounded person!

Everyday Advice

1. Don't take things personally.

2. Feeling stupid is a sign of growth.

3. Learn something new from everyone each day.

4. Only say things you truly mean.

5. Be as useful as you can in as many situations as you can.

6. Use good manners.

7. Connect to people in person- not by social media.

8. Help people, even when they say they don't need it.

9. Be courageous, not reckless.

10. The most important thing is to LISTEN!

Don't Engage in Psychological Warfare

If you are an actor, musician, performer, athlete etc. and have an audition or tryouts, odds are that there will be people at those auditions/tryouts playing mind tricks. They like to psych others out with their "skills", which then messes you up. Ignore them! They are insecure and want to prove to everyone that they are superior. It can be very hard to resist the temptation to rehearse, but it will not benefit you at all. Their goal is to work you up. If you don't react, you ruin their game. Stay strong and do not engage in psychological warfare!

Be the Bigger Person

We all have to admit that no one likes everyone. There are people out there who just don't get along and never will. Although these people seem impossible to deal with, be the bigger person. The old addage "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" is true. You never know when you will run into your "foe" again, so the best advice in this situation is to go follow your better judgement. Be nice to even the people you can't stand, don't talk behind their backs, and even compliment them once in a while. If not, your past will come back to haunt you and it won't be pleasant. You might even find that your foe will leave you alone and begin treating you with respect.

Life Takes Courage

I think this quote sums up everything about courage that we wanted to discuss...

"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them."

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Change yourself

You do NOT have to be tomorrow, who you were today.

Do you see yourself traveling down a dark road with no return. I have good news-you don't have to continue. If you don't like who you are or who you are becoming, change yourself. Be someone that you can be proud of. If you live your life trying to please others, you will never truely be happy.

Above all, do what makes you happy. Odds are if you are pleased with your life, everyone else will be too.
